Who This Is For

Is This Workshop for You?

You might recognise some of this:

Things look normal from the outside. You talk, meet or carry on as usual, but something between you still does not feel right.
You replay conversations in your head and think about what you wish you had said differently.
You still feel hurt, angry, disappointed or resentful about something someone said or did.
You keep ending up in the same disagreements or reacting in ways you later wish you had handled differently.
You still find yourself looking for someone’s approval or expecting their criticism, even though you wish their opinion affected you less.
Someone you were once close to now feels distant, and you are not quite sure when or how things changed.
You want to forgive or move forward, but there are still things you have not been able to make peace with.
You want things to feel different without ignoring your feelings, pretending nothing happened or giving up your boundaries.
You are far kinder and more forgiving towards other people than you are towards yourself.
These experiences can show up across different relationships in your life, at home, at work, with family, friends or people you are close to.

THE PRACTICE

How Ho’oponopono Works for Relationships

Ho’oponopono is a traditional Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and making things right. Traditionally, it brought people together to address conflict, acknowledge what had happened, forgive and restore harmony. Later approaches adapted Ho’oponopono into a practice that could also be done individually, by working with what is happening within you.

In relationships, we do not respond only to what is happening in the present. Past experiences, memories, hurt, expectations and things left unresolved can influence what we notice, what we expect and how we respond today.

Ho'oponopono does not begin by trying to change the other person. It begins with what the relationship is bringing up within you and gives you a way to work with your own inner experience.

During the workshop, we will use four familiar Ho’oponopono phrases as a way of working with what is being triggered or replayed within you.

I’m Sorry

Taking responsibility for what is being triggered or replayed within you, not for what the other person did.

Please Forgive Me

Asking for forgiveness and clearing of whatever within you is holding this experience, even if you do not consciously know what it is.

Thank You

Expressing gratitude and trust in the process of releasing, letting go and making space for greater peace and acceptance.

I Love You

Returning to love and allowing that love to move through the experience and back towards yourself.

The practice happens within you. It does not require a difficult conversation or the other person's participation.

WHAT PEOPLE EXPERIENCED

Here's what they say.

I used to replay conversations in my head for hours, wondering if I should have said something differently. The way Shweta explained responsibility just made it click. I started catching the spiral instead of falling into it.
Neha S
I always felt like I had to step in and help everyone. Saying no used to feel uncomfortable and selfish. This work helped me see why I was doing that and gave me the confidence to start setting small boundaries.
Rohan M.
Hi maโ€™am. I wanted to say, the part about responsibility not being the same as capability has stayed with me the whole way home. Iโ€™ve always thought that if Iโ€™m able to do something then I should do it. And honestly, I think this has been most of my thirties. But now I am going to at least start thinking about it and noting this about myself. Okay, thatโ€™s all. Thank you.
Riya S.
I was constantly keeping myself busy โ€” helping others, taking on more work, filling every gap. I thought that's what responsible people do. This work helped me see how much of it came from needing to feel useful all the time.
Aarti K.
Hi Shweta, thank you for todayโ€™s session. I joined feeling quite tired and distracted but felt much calmer by the end. The exercises helped me slow down and notice what was going on in my mind.
Shelza R.
Hi Shweta. The caring part made me think a lot because I worry about my daughter even when there is no reason. Like If she sounds a little quiet, I start asking what happened, did someone say something, is she upset. and then I keep thinking about her answer for hours. I never noticed how much of my own time goes into this. I think I need to learn where care ends and worry starts. That part of the workshop was very relatable for me.
